I experienced a mix of highs and lows during my stay. The hotel’s historic charm and beautiful decor were impressive, though I found some aspects, particularly around service, falling short. I had a disappointing encounter at Becca's, where the staff's attentiveness was lacking. Overall, while the ambiance was inviting, there were several service hiccups that could use improvement.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and had beautiful features, like a large comfortable bed and a great waterfall shower. However, cleanliness was a concern with black mold spotted around the vents, which is troubling if you have asthma like I do.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly, but there were moments when they seemed overwhelmed. My dining experience at Becca's was particularly frustrating due to inattentive service, including a mix-up with our drink orders that had me feeling neglected.
Location

The hotel is in a prime location, close to the beach. I enjoyed the beautiful outdoor areas, but it was quite busy, which took away from the feel of relaxation I was hoping for.
Dining
6.0
The food at Becca's had potential but service issues overshadowed what could have been a wonderful dining experience. The menu offered a nice variety, but the execution during my visit left much to be desired.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities like the indoor heated pool were lovely and well-maintained. However, I did notice some areas of housekeeping that could use attention, as not everything was spotless.

I had a wonderful time at The Historic Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club. The restoration of the hotel was truly impressive and the spacious, elegantly decorated King Suite provided a luxurious retreat. However, I experienced some hiccups with service and room arrangements that detracted from what could have been a perfect stay.

Rooms
8.0
The King Suite was beautifully appointed with a large comfortable bed, great lighting, and a luxurious bathroom featuring a waterfall shower and clawfoot soaking tub. However, it was a tight fit for our family of four with only enough space for one rollaway bed, forcing one of us to sleep on a couch.
Service
7.0
The staff were wonderfully friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. However, I did encounter issues with room service and housekeeping that needed to be requested specifically, which should have been more seamless.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach, but the proximity to construction zones did detract from the overall atmosphere during my visit. I can see the potential for a beautiful beach club experience once completed.
Dining
8.0
Dining at Becca was a highlight for me; the food was really good and the ambiance was inviting. However, I found the options a bit limited, especially for snacks and a kids’ menu, which could have made the experience better for families.
Facilities
8.0
The spa facilities were great, and I enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. I appreciated the relaxation areas and the nice terrace by the pool. Yet, I did find some amenities like the small gift shop often closed, which was disappointing.

I recently stayed at The Historic Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club and was amazed by the beautiful renovation that perfectly combines classic charm with modern luxury. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making my experience feel personalized and welcoming. However, I was slightly disappointed with the limited room service hours and some construction noise from nearby projects. Overall, it was a nice stay, and I would consider returning once the renovations are fully completed. 🌊✨

My ocean front suite was spacious and beautifully decorated, featuring a comfortable king-size bed and a large bathroom with a claw-foot tub. It was well-maintained, but the room service menu was limited, which was unexpected for a hotel of this caliber.
Service

The staff’s attentiveness was excellent, making check-in a breeze. They were quick to assist whenever needed, though I did need to ask for supervisors to solve a couple of issues, which was a bit frustrating.
Location

The hotel’s prime location near the beach made for easy seaside access and stunning views. However, the ongoing construction nearby took away from the overall ambiance at times.
Dining

I had high expectations for dining, enjoying the food at the Beach Club, but found the meals at Becca disappointing compared to what I anticipated from a luxury hotel. The cocktails were creative and well-crafted, though.
Facilities

The indoor and outdoor pool areas were beautiful and inviting, perfect spots for relaxation. While I appreciated the amenities, I felt that limited room service hours were a drawback.

I enjoyed delicious food at the on-site restaurants, especially a lovely dinner at Becca. However, the limited beach and pool amenities were a bit disappointing, and I noticed some construction noise near the Beach Club. Overall, this beautiful hotel is definitely a must-visit for a relaxing retreat.

My recent getaway at The Historic Cavalier Hotel was marked by stunning renovations and friendly staff, though the dining experience left a bit to be desired. The clean, spacious room offered lovely views, but there were some service inconsistencies during my meals. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, but there are areas to improve for a truly luxury experience.
